For Sale 1972 Detomaso Pantera
Everything works as it should on this car. Body is
solid and as rust free as any unrestored car. Frame was drilled for
drainage many years ago to alleviate problems by engine mounts. Engine
is strong and leak free. This is a NICE car.
I will include with the car complete factory
maintenance manual, technical service manual, electrical schematic, ZF
transaxle exploded view diagram and several necessary tools that are
Pantera specific, new floor mats, rear louver (rare). I also have all
receipts and history documents that go with the car. If you are looking
to buy your first Pantera this one would be great, or add to your
collection.
As an aircraft mechanic of 20 years I have been
meticulous in the maintenance of this car. You can buy with confidence
knowing you will get a quality car. Mechanically this car is superior to
most. See list below of mods and repairs. I have always been a person
who values the mechanical side more than cosmetic (read exterior paint).
The car was repainted in 1978 to GTS color scheme and is showing wear.
Paint is still glossy and looks great but definitely not show quality.
The engine was professionally overhauled by Vaseleniuck Engine
Development (former engine builder of Bobby Allison). Only 4K miles
since overhaul. See list of below for details.
